Washington - US President Joe Biden has announced 800 million in new military aid to war-torn Ukraine.
According to the World News Agency, US President Joe Biden announced 800 million in aid to Ukraine in response to Russia's continued attacks and asked for more aid.
On the occasion, the US President also announced to send to Ukraine 1.4 million rounds of heavy artillery and ammunition including 155 mm 75 Howitzer, 72 tactical vehicles and more than 100 Phoenix Ghost drones.
Earlier, President Biden announced a 500 million aid package for the Ukrainian people trapped by Russian forces.
US President Joe Biden has said he will ask Congress for additional funding next week, the value of which is being discussed and will be considered in the US House of spokesperson.
The US president's decision has the backing of government and opposition members, so it is hoped that there will be no impediment to new funding for Ukraine.
President Joe Biden has temporarily allowed Ukrainians fleeing the Russian invasion to come to the United States, but must have a US sponsor.
